Acceptable Use Policy
1. ABOUT
THIS POLICY
This Policy governs your use of the Service. If you choose not to follow the rules outlined in this Policy or in our Terms of Use, OnTask.AI may take action, including suspending or terminating your service. This policy outlines our customers' responsibilities when using our service and confirms the steps OnTask.AI may take to ensure and monitor compliance with this policy. This policy applies to all our customers and any users of our service. By using our Service, you agree to the terms of this Policy.
2. LAWFUL
USE
2.1 It is the customer's responsibility to ensure that their use of our Service is lawful and to determine what constitutes legal use in their particular jurisdiction. OnTask.AI is not a law firm, so we cannot provide legal advice. Seek independent legal counsel.
2.2 All Customers agree not to use the Service for any unlawful or malicious purpose.
Customers are responsible for their use of our Service, network and the operation of any systems or applications accessed or used with our Service. Customers are responsible for any content stored, sent, accessed or distributed on or via our Service and systems, including any content that may violate our Acceptable Use Policy.
2.3 Any act that endangers any person or risks compromising the security or effective operation of our network, or any of our systems or equipment (or the network, systems or equipment of our suppliers), may mean access to the Service will be restricted, suspended or terminated.
2.4 When using the Service, we may require users to comply with rules we impose that are based on the rules imposed by a third party from which you access content. Where a supplier or third party provider considers one of our Customers is in breach of this Policy, they may require us to take steps to prevent the relevant Customer continuing to breach this Policy.
We are required to comply with law enforcement or other lawful requests at any time without notice to Customers.
3. PROHIBITED
USES
All Customers agree that they will not use their account for any illegal or unauthorized purpose or permit their account to be used
3.1 To break any law, industry code or standard;
3.2 In any way that interrupts, damages, renders less efficient or impairs the functionality of the Service.;
3.3 In any way that may interfere with or disrupt another user’s computer
3.4 For the transmission, uploading, or posting of any computer viruses or any harmful or deleterious files or programs (for which criminal and civil penalties may be imposed);.
3.5 To transmit, upload or post any material which is likely to cause harm, distress or inconvenience to any person;
3.6 To use the site to threaten, stalk, harass, abuse, or otherwise insult other users, or to collect or store personal data about other users;
3.7 In a way that violates someone's rights, including copyright or confidentiality.
3.8 To transmit any material for the purposes of publicity, promotion and/or advertising without our prior written consent, unless such transmission is in response to a specific request from another user of the Service;
3.9 To create a false identity for the purpose of misleading others as to the sender or the origin of a message, including, but not limited to impersonating an OnTask.AI customer or another user;
3.10 To transmit, upload, post or otherwise make available any unauthorized advertising, promotional materials, “junkmail”, “spam”, “chain letters”, “pyramid schemes” or any duplicative or unsolicited messages.
We cannot control the content that is posted on your account or other user's accounts on the Service. We do not guarantee the accuracy, integrity, or quality of such content.
We hope that you will enjoy our Service, but we also want you to be aware that some content on our Service may be offensive or objectionable.
3.11 To use a false identity, or to disguise the origin of a communication, in order to access, monitor, or use any data or traffic on any systems or networks without authority.
3.12 To authorize, aid, abet, encourage or incite any other person to do or attempt to do any of the above acts.
4. PROHIBITED ACTIONS
We work hard to maintain OnTask.AI's reputation, but we rely on you, our users, to do the right thing. You may not:
4.1 Post inappropriate content
4.2 Share confidential information
4.3 Spam others
4.4 Use the OnTask.AI Tracking Agent on any device you or your company does not have permission to use software on, and without prior consent of the device user.
4.5 Monitor device usage in order to learn personal information about the device user without their permission.
4.6 Attempt to use OnTask.AI's Agent on the device user's device without their permission.
4.7 Use the OnTask.AI Agent on a public computer to which you or your company does not have full legal, administrative rights.
4.8 Use OnTask.AI on any device without the explicit knowledge and consent of the device owner.
5. PERMITTED
ACTIONS
5.1 Use OnTask.AI on a computer you are authorized to use.
5.2 If you do not own the computer, but the owner consents, you may use OnTask.AI.
It is your responsibility to determine what constitutes legal use in your particular jurisdiction.
Seek independent legal counsel.
5.3 Use OnTask.AI on your school’s computers, where you or your school has been granted full legal, administrative rights.
5.4 Students are not allowed to use any software on their school’s devices without authorization from staff or teachers.
6. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
Customers acknowledge that:
6.1 OnTask.AI is not responsible for the accuracy of the Service.
6.2 Customer is responsible for their own use of the Service.
6.3 OnTask.AI disclaims any and all liability for any unsolicited or unwelcome information disseminated or received via the Service.
Customers are responsible for providing, configuring, or maintaining any equipment or software needed to access the Service, as well as for the security and integrity of their data.
7. REMEDIES FOR BREACH
We may ask you to change your use of the Service if we believe that a breach of this Policy has occurred. We reserve the right to take any of the following actions:
7.1 Suspend access to the Service for a specific period;
7.2 Terminate access to the Service and refuse to provide the Service to the Customer or their affiliates in the future;
7.3 Notify the appropriate government and regulatory authorities of any suspected illegal or infringing conduct;
7.4 Delete or edit any of the customer’s data’
7.5 Override any attempt by the Customer to violate this Policy.
7.6 We may take any other action we deem appropriate, including taking action against offenders to recover the costs and expenses of identifying them.
7.7 We may also take any of the above steps if directed to do so by a regulatory or other law enforcement authority.
8. MODIFICATIONS
We may revise this Policy from time to time.
If you continue to use the Service, you will be agreeing to the changes.
